Destination #3 of Day 1 of Soccsksargen Experience Tour Part Deux (SEX Tour II)

Day 1 of the Soccsksargen Experience Tour Part Deux (SEX Tour II) was already an unforgettable adventure the whitewater tubing in Maitum, and our next destination in Kiamba made it even more captivating. After an exhilarating whitewater tubing experience in Maitum, we found ourselves at Kiamba Children's Park, a spot that offered a delightful surprise.

As we savored our lunch at an elevated spot, a breathtaking view of the beach and the charming town of Kiamba unfolded before our eyes. The park's serene ambiance, surrounded by vibrant flowers and stunning landscapes, made it the perfect place to relax and bond with family and friends. The highlight was the mini zoo, where we met fascinating creatures like birds, snakes, and turtles. It was a delightful experience, especially for the kids in our group, who were enthralled by the diverse wildlife.

But the excitement didn't end there. We soon embarked on a journey to Tuka Sanctuary, a pristine white-sand beach that quickly captured our hearts. As someone who joined the SEX Tour, I was thrilled to discover that Tuka Sanctuary was one of the best-kept secrets of undeveloped white-sand beaches in the region. The sparkling crystal-clear waters lured us to dip our toes in the sea, feeling the soft sand beneath our feet.

The picturesque four coves of Tuka Sanctuary provided the perfect setting for a relaxing picnic, surrounded by the tranquil sea on one side and lush mountains on the other. It was a slice of paradise that seemed almost untouched by time, giving us a glimpse into the natural beauty that Mindanao has to offer.

For water sports enthusiasts, Tuka Sanctuary was a dream come true. The abundance of marine life and various species of fish beckoned divers to explore the depths of the ocean. I was tempted to try diving myself, but alas, my lack of swimming skills held me back. Despite that, the thrill of adventure and the joy of seeing my friends indulge in water activities filled me with happiness.

Amidst the splendor of Tuka Sanctuary, we learned about the pressing challenges the beach was facing. The crown of thorns was attacking the vibrant corals, causing damage to the delicate reef ecosystem. Our hearts sank at the thought of losing such a precious treasure, but we were determined to make a difference.

Our guides, Michelle Solon and the Kiamba Tourism Council showed us how we could contribute to the preservation of Tuka Sanctuary. Together, we could be the guardians of this pristine paradise, working towards its conservation and protecting its precious marine life.

Reaching Kiamba from General Santos City was a breeze, with vans or motorcycles as the main forms of transportation. The Tuka Sanctuary was accessible via a motorboat, and the journey itself was a thrilling experience that added to the allure of the destination.

As the day drew to a close, we left Kiamba and Tuka Sanctuary with hearts full of gratitude and a deep appreciation for the beauty of Mindanao. Our journey had only just begun, and we knew that the days ahead would be filled with even more adventures, surprises, and encounters with the wonders that Beautiful Mindanao had to offer. So join us on this journey, as we continue to explore, experience, and cherish the magic that lies within the heart of Mindanao. Let Beautiful Mindanao be your ultimate guide, leading you to a world of beauty, culture, and adventure that will forever leave its mark on your soul.
